Masterson’s Pub , positioned in the vibrant core of Moonee Ponds, promotes itself as a chic “hipster” locale , but my most recent experience at this establishment quickly devolved into an unforgettable, terrible experience. While the bar may present a friendly façade, what I experienced behind its doors was disturbing and far below any standard .

The floors were sticky , and a nauseating aroma of old alcohol and filthy restrooms permeated the entire pub. Emitting a scent of a mixture of ammonia , old age and illness . The counter , which should be the focal point of any pub, was piled high with used mugs and trash that looked like it had been ignored for a long time .
